		AMZ Holdings PLC (Amazing) is a property development group involved in the establishment of a Casino hotel resort in the Pescadores (locally know as Penghu). The company is registered in the Isle of Man. Until recently, the Pescadores was off-limits for development during the martial law era, but since the rapid democratization of Taiwan, conditions have improved and Amazing is now well positioned to take advantage of this pristine location as the first major beach front development on the islands.

		Second Reading underway In a closed-door session on Friday 14 November, the ‘debate phase’ of the second reading was concluded, with legislators agreeing to put the gaming bill to a formal vote. A majority have indicated their support. The vote is expected to take place before the end of the current legislative session which ends on December 31, as we had anticipated. . Ministry appointed to regulate Gaming Industry During a press tour of Penghu on 15 November, legislator Peter Lin met with foreign journalists and confirmed that implementation measures to regulate the gaming industry are currently being drafted, and that the principal authority for regulating the gaming industry will be the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Local Officials support issue of 3 licenses Saturday 15 November; when a 20 member group of foreign reporters met with local officials in Penghu, they were informed that three casino permits were expected to issued, most likely to integrated resorts, after passage of the legislation.
